1975 AMC Matador Brougham Coupe V8 360cu caramel tan, floor shift auto trans, power st, power disc brake, bucket seats, center console, dual exhaust,
Cragar super trick wheels, Mickey Thompson rear tires, great cond, runs
great.
I've been interested in AMC Matador Coupe for a long time, and I finally
bought it. I tried to buy it several times but there were some objections
around me because of its unique distinctive design. Many friends of mine
didn’t know the AMC Matador coupe existed. When I showed them pictures,
they said it looks like a Maverick, a Pinto, a Vega, a Monte Carlo, or
a Camaro. Another reason I hesitated to buy it was that there were many
6 cylinder engine cars and most of them had the bench seat with the column
shifter. This car has a V8 360cu (5,9L) engine and a floor shifter, which
was the decisive factor in my purchase. It's a Brougham but it has a sporty
center console with a floor shifter and bucket seats. I think it’s a rare
combination car. I was planning to customize it as soon as it arrived in
Japan, but I'm very busy lately. There are various other cars that I have
to finish and deliver. So I'll do it after I calm down a bit. The customizing
will start by removing the front and rear bumpers. If I remove the front
bumper, the long hood will be emphasized and it will look like a spaceship.
And it will be the one of a kind custom car in Japan.
