My favorite vehicles are 1970-1974 Plymouth Barracuda . My very first Barracuda (1970 318 cu auto) I bought in
1980 was $1,200. My second Barracuda (1973 318 cu stick 3spd) I bought in 1982 was $3,000. My third Cuda(1973 383 cu auto w/posi) I
bought in 1983 was 400,000 JPN Yen. It's no way to buy the
Mopar E-body car and B-body car such low price anymore in 2022.
But the E-body cars with a slant 6 engine are still affordable price.
I got an idea. Buying a Hemi Wagon as a donor car. And putting the 5.7L
Hemi
engine , the 5 speed auto trans and the PCM into a slant 6 car. Then
I found a good deal in Japan. I bought it from the seller in Nara in Apr
2022.
I went to there for picking up the hemi wagon by the bullet train and drove the Hemi wagon back to my home. It was a rainy day.
That was my first time to drive the car with 5.7L Hemi. The wagon was running
pretty good in bad weather. Everything works fine.
I felt little sorry for the car if I make it as the donor car. However
I heard the weird noise from front end after I got off the highway.
So I thought it's gonna be a nice donor car. Then I started to look for
a slant 6 barracuda. I have not found any good deal yet.
So I made up my mind to use the hemi wagon as my personal car until I find
a nice slant 6 Barracuda .
So I fixed the all problems. I also put the strobe decals and skull head
decal. It looks much better. However; I am still looking for the slant
6 cars.
